The Oregon Resource Network (ORN) website works like a dating site for community members looking to connect with community-based organizations (CBOs) in their areas. Community members can search, find relevant matches, and directly message CBOs. CBOs can find relevant matches and reach out personally and proactively to community members who are in need of the services they offer.

What is ORN?

The Oregon Resource Network (ORN) is a growing network of community-based organizations (CBOs) and WorkSource Oregon Benefit Navigators who are banding together to offer a better way to help community members navigate resources available to them in their areas. The ORN mobile responsive website is a revolutionary interactive platform and the key meeting place where the power of networking will become real for community members, CBOs and WorkSource Oregon Benefit Navigators. This is much more than a database. It’s an entirely new experience. After creating a personal user or CBO profile, users will log in and go to one of two main areas to interact: Search Center and Message Center.

What Are the Main Features?

• Search Center. This is the section of the website where users can actively search by category for CBOs in their area. They can use a smart phone or computer to find directions, a phone number, and a link to the provider’s website. They will also be able to send messages to the CBO, and save lists of their favorite organizations.
• Message Center. This is the section of the website where users can check their inbox for messages and notifications from CBOs, as well as composing and sending new messages. CBOs will receive notifications when a new user registers in their service area and select needs that align with the programs the CBO offers. Community-based organizations will be able to send and receive messages from users and other CBOs as well.

Is ORN For Me?

• Users can send and receive personal messages from community-based organizations from within the ORN website. You do not need an email or phone number to communicate directly.
• Community Based Organizations can be proactive. Receive a daily notification about the users who have registered for the network and reside in the CBOs service area. They can take the initiative and reach out proactively by messaging them and establish personal connections.
